One Simple Short Cut on Ratio & Proportions

Welcome Everyone,
See our first post from Think Tank.

A Simple Short cut from Ratio & Proportions Concept.

Any How You Can't apply this for all problems but in only one case, that is the increase in both the entities of a ratio are same.

For Example Lets see one Question.

Ques: Two numbers are in the ratio 3 : 5, If the numbers are increased by 6(both are increased by 6, So This is the case where we can apply this short cut) the ratio becomes 5 : 7. find the numbers.

Solution: First Find the Difference Among the Ratio in each entity. (5-3 = 7-5 = 2).
Divide the Number which increases by the Difference in ratio    (6 / 2  = 3)
              Multiply the number you got with the initial ratio               (3 * 3 : 5 * 3 = 9 : 15)

Ans: the numbers are 9 and 15
